EuroLeague Women participants from Poland, Lotos Gdynia, have announced that they will not re-sign Polish NT member Justyna Żurowska whose contract was up at the end of 2011.
Żurowska played all of her career with Gorzow before the team got in financial difficulties in 2011 and she made the change to Lotos Gdynia.
With Gdynia in the first half of the season she averaged 9.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in Polish league and 7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in EuroLeague Women.
Żurowska later told Polish Press Agency that she has chosen to continue her career in France with Basket Landes where she will end the season. She’ll leave for France on Thursday.
Lotos Gdynia are expected to let go a couple of other players by the end of the week with the names Ines Ajanovic and Jolene Anderson being unofficially mentioned.
