On Wednesday Bourges Basket and Arras were victorious in French Cup semi-finals and advanced to the Cup Final.
Bourges faced the third placed Challes-les-Eaux. Bourges outrebounded and outscored Challes on their way to the final, with their biggest lead being 20 points. That allowed all 11 Bourges players to see some playing time, while Challes went with a 7 player rotation throughout the game. Emmeline Ndongue scored 13 points in the win, Celine Dumerc had 12 points and she dished out 10 assists.
The other semifinal was much tighter. In a game that featured 21 lead changes and 8 ties, Arras finished off better to claim a win on the road. Romanian forward Gabriela Marginean led all scorers with 29 points which was almost half of her team’s scored points. Marginean went 9 from 15 from the game.
Final will take place on May 20 in Bercy, Paris.
