Galatasaray Medical Park have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Ceyhun Yıldızoğlu after two seasons of him being at the helm of the team.
Yıldızoğlu took over from Zafer Kalaycıoğlu after 2009/10 season. 2009 was a particularly bad year to be the head coach of Galatasaray – during the year the team saw four head coaches.
Biggest accomplishments for the team under him came this season when they won both the Turkish Cup and the Turkish President’s Cup.
Yıldızoğlu is also the head coach of Turkish National Team that surprised many last year and advanced to the final of EuroBasket Women. He’s expected to coach the team this summer as they attempt to qualify for the Olympic Basketball tournament.
