Russian club UMMC Ekaterinburg has announced that head coach Algirdas Paulauskas and his assistant Rimantas Grigas will not be extended for the 2012/13 season.

Paulauskas was unsure about his future after the EuroLeague Women Final Eight where UMMC finished third, though the objective for the team was set to win the tournament.

Both of these coaches will be busy this summer coaching National Teams in EuroBasket Women 2013 qualifying tournament – Paulauskas will lead the Lithuanian NT while Grigas will do the same with Belorussian NT.

Updated: Team’s manager Maxim Ryabkov has confirmed to RIA News that the replacement has been found and after completing all of the necessary paperwork he/she should be named after May 9. He also mentioned that the coach won’t be Russian. Among the possible candidates previously the likes of Hungarian Laszlo Ratgeber and Slovak Natalia Hejkova have been mentioned.
