According to basketfaul, Turkish club Istanbul Universitesi have signed American guard Essence Carson.
Carson, currently playing for WNBA’s New York Liberty, spent last season with Rivas Ecopolis in Spain. With Rivas she reached EuroLeague Women Final where they lost to Ros Casares.
She averaged 12.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in ELW last year. In Spanish league she had similar 12.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
This will be her first season in Turkey – before that she had played in Hungary, France, Italy and Latvia.
