Lithuanian National Team head coach Algirdas Paulauskas has decided to cut Gintare Mazionyte and Julita Bungaite from the squad, bringing the number of candidates down to 14.
Joining the team this week will be Drexel graduate Kamile Nacickaite. Lithuanians will start their third camp tomorrow in Kaunas. Wednesday a 4 team tournament will start there with National Teams from Spain, Latvia and Sweden also participating.
Speaking of Latvia – coach Nerips can be a bit more optimistic as after several evaluations doctors have cleared center Zane Tamane to practice. Tamane will be worked in the team gradually depending on her own feeling, so she currently isn’t a lock to play in the opening game next week.
