Slovak NT without Regina Palušná, as she undergoes surgery

As reported by SITA, 23-year old center Regina Palušná won’t help Slovak NT in qualification for Eurobasket 2013.

Although Palušná was invited to training camp and was going to participate in friendlies with Hungary and Latvia, but she missed the games for precaution. Later it was confirmed that Palušná had to undergo arthroscopic surgery. She will be out for at least 2 months.

Palušná, former player of Ros Casares Valencia and Pécs, spent previous season in Nantes averaging 4,9 points and 3,1 rebounds. It is confirmed she won’t play in the French team following season, but she hasn’t signed a contract with another team yet.
