WNBL club Townsville Fire have announced on their facebook page they have signed American forward Kayla Standish for the upcoming season.
This will be first pro experience for Standish who graduated from Gonzaga University this spring.
In her senior year in Gonzaga, Standish averaged 15.8 points (49% 2p, 11% 3p) and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Standish was drafted 19th overall by the Minnesota Lynx but was cut in the training camp.
