Three Stars: Ogwumike, Lavender lead Sparks in rout of Mystics

LWB’s three stars from last day’s WNBA action.

1st star: Nneka Ogwumike, Los Angeles Sparks
Ogwumike continues to exceed most people’s expectations, even yours truly, with the way she’s come in the league. In Sparks rout of the Mystics Ogwumike recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds.

2nd star: Jantel Lavender, Los Angeles Sparks
Sophmore center Lavender had her best game of the season, finishing with 16 points on 6 from 10 shooting and 6 rebounds from the bench.

3rd star: Michelle Snow, Washington Mystics
Enigmatic forward had what could likely end up one of her best games of the season with 15 points (6 from 10 FG’s) and 7 rebounds.

Honorable mentions
Kristi Toliver, Candace Parker, Alana Beard and DeLisha Milton-Jones also finished in double digits for the Sparks… Natasha Lacy ended up with scoring 12 points in just 8 minutes of the court.

Dishonorable mentions
Each of Crystal Langhorne, Jasmine Thomas and Matee Ajavon managed to make just 1 field goal having had 5, 7 and 6 attempts respectively… Washington Mystics finished the game with 25 combined turnovers.
