Maya Moore to play in China during winter

American forward Maya Moore has announced on her twitter account that she will be joining Shanxi Xing Rui Flame from China in fall.

In China Moore will join another 2011 top draft pick Liz Cambage who signed with Zhejiang Chouzhou.

More spent last season in Spain, playing for Ros Casares. There she won the Spanish and EuroLeague Women titles.

    It is all about money. China is a country, full of contrasts, many people hardly survive but in some areas, e.g. sports there are bags, bags and bags of money.

      Karel, you got that right. You’re talking about at least a million dollars. If there are endorsements, add a few more hundred thousands. For men’s pro sports that may not sound like a lot but comparing that to the WNBA where the veteran’s maximum is $105K, you can see why Maya will be laughing her way to the bank on her flight to China.
