Three Stars: Bonner, McCoughtry, Jones lead their teams to victories

LWB’s three stars from last day’s WNBA action.

1st star: DeWanna Bonner, Phoenix Mercury
DeWanna Bonner led Phoenix Mercury with 27 points in the victory against Chicago Sky. With 27 points she set a new career best in the WNBA. Bonner was 9 from 19 from the field.

2nd star: Angel McCoughtry, Atlanta Dream
McCoughtry scored 24 points as the Dream defeated Tulsa Shock. She also had 7 rebounds and 7 turnovers.

3rd star: Asjha Jones, Connecticut Sun
Jones recorded a double-double against the team that drafted her – the Washington Mystics. She had 20 points and 11 rebounds as Connecticut earned their 10th win of the season while Mystics dropped their tenth game of the season.

Tina Charles had a double-double… Mistie Mims set her season high in points with 15… Monique Currie had her season best game with 21 points… 6 Shock players scored in double digits against the Dream… Aneika Henry tied her career best with 14 points, Tiffany Hayes set one with 15 points.

Matee Ajavon was 1 from 9… Shannon Bobbitt and Michelle Snow were 2 from 7… Riquna Williams needed 15 shots to score 15 points… Samantha Prahalis needed 15 shots to score 14 points, she also had 5 turnovers… Sylvia Fowles made just 3 of 12 shots.
