2nd star: Cappie Pondexter, New York Liberty
Pondexter scored 20 for the Liberty on 8 from 16 shooting from the field. She also had 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
3rd star: DeMya Walker, New York Liberty
Walker made all three of her field goals against Seattle and was 5 from 6 behind the line. She also grabbed 6 rebounds.
Honorable mentions
Ann Wauters and Tina Thompson were the only ones who scored in double digits for the Storm though you could only tell that by looking at the boxscore, not the game itself.
Dishonorable mentions
Kia Vaughn sustained a concussion and was unable to leave the court on her own – she was helped off the court and taken away on stretcher… Seattle Storm shot 32% as a team and turned the ball over 24 times… Shekinna Stricklen made just 1 of 7 field goals.
