PHOENIX – The Phoenix Mercury waived guard Andrea Riley today. The 5-5 guard appeared in nine games this season for Phoenix and averaged 2.8 points in 9.1 minutes per game.
The Mercury (4-10) ends its season-high four-game road trip in San Antonio Tuesday when it takes on the Silver Stars at 5 p.m. PT.
This waiver means that either they’re going to sign a new player or some of the injured Mercury players (Taurasi, Dupree, Sanford) are set to return.
