1st star: Becky Hammon, San Antonio Silver Stars
Hammon scored 17 fourth quarter points to finish off a Silver Stars comeback that saw them erase a 13 point third quarter deficit and claim a victory. Hammon finished the night with 22 points.
2nd star: Danielle Adams, San Antonio Silver Stars
Adams was the leading scorer for San Antonio with 24 points on 9 of 18 shooting from the game.
3rd star: DeWanna Bonner, Phoenix Mercury
Bonner set a new career record with 38 points for the Mercury. She also set new career records in field goals made (11) and attempted (23).
Honorable mentions
Sophia Young had yet another double-double – 12 points and 14 rebounds, that was her fourth of the season… Charde Houston scored 19 for Phoenix, 15 of those came from behind the arc.
Dishonorable mentions
Samantha Prahalis led a mediocre performance by the rest of the Mercury squad with 9 points on 3 of 12 shooting… After having a couple of hot shooting nights, Shameka Christon was cold as ice with 0 from 7 on the night (0 from 6 behind the arc)… Usual spark from the bench Jia Perkins was 2 from 11.
