Teja Oblak out for Slovenia, Polkowice with a torn ACL

Slovenian Basketball Federation has announced that Slovenian NT starting guard Teja Oblak has torn her ACL.

Oblak injured her knee during Wednesday’s game against Lithuania while running on a fast break. She just recently signed a two year deal with CCC Polkowice.

Doctor expects her to be out for about 7 months.

This is the third ACL injury for Slovenia. Earlier in the campaign they lost Tjasa Gortnar and Eva Komplet.

Third such injury in a short period of time could mean that there were errors in preparations with not enough attention spent on strengthening the knee ligaments.
