Maja Erkic, fourth Slovenian to sustain a knee injury, out 2 months

Slovenian NT player knees keep giving out, in their loss to Netherlands Slovenia also lost Maja Erkic for the remainder of the campaign.

Doctors in Slovenia have diagnosed her with torn lateral cruciate ligament (LCL) and strained ACL. They estimate she will be out for two months.

In a space of 17 days this is the fourth knee injury, which by now is more than coincidence and makes for a pretty strong evidence about a poor job by the trainers in preparing the players. She will join Tjasa Gortnar, Teja Oblak and Eva Komplet on the sidelines.

Erkic averaged 12.5 points and 4.1 rebounds before getting injured.
