Following a practice game against Russian male student squad, head coach Boris Sokolovsky made final four cuts to the Russian National Team roster, bringing it down to the 12 who will go to London.
In the practice game the Russians earned their first victory against male student squads this summer 89-75.
Unlike what was reported by some Russian outlets two days ago, the final four cuts for the Russian NT were Liudmila Sapova, Katerina Keyru, Ekaterina Lisina and Tatiana Popova.

From the 2011 European Champion squad they will be bringing back only 6 players – Danilochkina, Korstin, Belyakova, Arteshina, Kuzina, Osipova. With 50% from that squad they are bringing back 55% of their scoring, 40% of their rebounding 51% of their assists and 49% of their steals.
For Natalia Zhedik, Anna Petrakova and Nadezhda Grishaeva this will be their debut in a major tournament with the National Team.
Russia have been drawn in Group B with Australia, France, Brazil, Canada and Great Britain.
