Polish side CCC Polkowice has announced the addition of Spanish point guard Laia Palau.
Polkowice has already lost two guards to ACL injuries this offseason – Sharnee Zoll and Teja Oblak.
Palau became EuroLeague Women champion last season with Spanish team Ros Casares. She averaged 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
“It’s a great thing. Laia is one of Europe’s most recognizable basketball players. Last season she had a major impact on the way the Euroleague champions, Ros Casares Valencia, played and we all remember how beautiful and successful basketball the Spanish team played. Transfer of Laia is a major strengthening of our team” said the team’s president Krzysztof Korsak of the signing on the team’s website.
