Brazilian center Erika de Souza is set to return to Brazil to play for Sport Recife in the local league.
De Souza has spent most of her career playing in Spain, where she resided for the past 9 seasons playing for Barcelona, Ros Casares and Perfumerias Avenida.
During the Olympic basketball draw she had revealed that she’s heading to Valencia in the autumn, but that didn’t happen as Ros Casares went bankrupt.
Playing for Spanish side Perfumerias Avenida, de Souza averaged 15.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in EuroLeague Women and 15.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in Spanish league.
