Russian club Dynamo Kursk have announced they have signed American guard with Montenegro passport Shay Murphy for the upcoming season.
Murphy last season played for EuroLeague Women champions Ros Casares and was supposedly under contract for the next season, too before the team went bankrupt.
She last season averaged 10.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in EuroLeague Women. Currently playing for Chicago Sky in the WNBA she’s averaging 8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
This is should be the final signing for Kursk. Their roster for the next season will be: Tatiana Burik, Temeka Johnson, Epiphanny Prince, Svetlana Makhlina, Maria Myasnikova, Ausra Bimbaite, Natalia Krasnoshek, Natalia Vodopyanova, Varvara Psareva, Shay Murphy, Maria Cherepanova, Erin Lawless, Michelle Snow, Ekaterina Lisina. Alfredas Vainauskas will continue to coach the team.
Kursk will try to defend their EuroCup Women title in 2012/13 as well as fight for top places in Russian league.
