Phoenix Mercury have announced the signing of guard Dymond Simon to a 7 day contract with Candice Dupree and Charde Houston out with injuries.
A 2011 graduate of Arizona State University, Simon played high school basketball at St. Mary’s in Phoenix and is making her second stint with the hometown WNBA squad. She was invited to the Mercury’s 2012 training camp but then waived prior to the start of the regular season.
The seven days on Simon’s contract will begin when the WNBA season resumes on Aug. 16 when the Mercury travels to Seattle to take on the Storm.
