Five German players scored in double digits, led by Finja Schaake’s 21, as they rolled against Romania almost reaching 100 point mark. Anthoula Chatzigiakoumi and Artemis Spanou each recorded a double-double as Greece opened their campaign with a win against Bulgaria.
Barbora Kasparkova scored 26 points and pulled down 9 rebounds for Czech Republic as the hosts started the tournament with a win against Belgium. Israel almost caught Hungary in the final couple of minutes, but ultimately fell short despite Bar Galinski’s 25 points. Krisztina Velkey had 16 points for Hungary.
