European U20 Championship Division B – Day One

Nine teams in Klatovy, Czech Republic have started their journey’s towards the top three of Division B which would ensure them places in Division A.

Five German players scored in double digits, led by Finja Schaake’s 21, as they rolled against Romania almost reaching 100 point mark.  Anthoula Chatzigiakoumi and Artemis Spanou each recorded a double-double as Greece opened their campaign with a win against Bulgaria.

Barbora Kasparkova scored 26 points and pulled down 9 rebounds for Czech Republic as the hosts started the tournament with a win against Belgium. Israel almost caught Hungary in the final couple of minutes, but ultimately fell short despite Bar Galinski’s 25 points. Krisztina Velkey had 16 points for Hungary.
