Undefeated Brazil and United States have advanced to the final of FIBA Americas U18 Championship.
Brazil advanced to the final thanks to a strong second half in which they turned a 8 point deficit (they trailed by as much as 15 in the first half) and turned it in to a 14 point lead. Power forward Vanessa Fausto Goncalves led Brazil with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Canada didn’t pose much threat to USA – who led by Morgan Tuck and Breanna Stewart claimed a 49 point win.
In the classification games Columbia defeated Mexico while Puerto Rico ousted Dominican Republic.
