Phoenix Mercury has announced they have signed guard Briana Gilbreath to a 7 day contract after the one signed by Lynetta Kizer expired.

Gilbreath was selected by the Washington Mystics in the third round of the 2012 WNBA Draft but was waived prior to the start of the regular season. The University of Southern California graduate was named to the All-Pac 12 First Team as a senior as well as the Pac 12 All-Defensive Team. A native of Houston, Texas, Gilbreath averaged 12.6 points and 6.4 rebounds in four seasons with the Trojans.
