European U20 Championship Division A – Day Four of Relegation Round

Italy is one win away from clinching final Division A spot. Great Britain and Portugal have been eliminated.

Great Britain led for about 18 seconds in the whole game as they lost their seventh consecutive game of the tournament and fourth consecutive of the relegation round. Latvia still has theoretical chances of remaining in division A, but that would require Italy to lose to Great Britain for their own games to even matter.

Italy jumped out to 10 point lead over Portugal in the first quarter before they found themselves down six in the second. Portugal led as late as 2:20 remaining in the game, before Italy finished the game on a 7-2 run to earn their fourth consecutive win.
