Kristen Brooke Sharp today has received French passport after starting naturalization process over the summer, her agent informs.
The American point guard is about to enter her seventh season in France. She played her first three years with Aix-en-Provence, then had a season with Challes-les-Eaux after which she moved to Mondeville where she played 2 seasons and is about to start her third one.
With Sharp now considered French, Mondeville will be quite an unique team in EuroLeague Women without any non-European players on the squad. In fact they’ll have only one non-French player – Lithuanian center Giedre Paugaite.
