Italian champions Cras Taranto have announced the signing of Israeli point guard Liron Cohen.
Cohen joins Taranto from their arch rivals Famila Schio where she spent last two seasons.
With Schio Cohen made it to last season’s EuroLeague Women Final Eight. In ELW she averaged 8.8 points, 4 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game. In Italian A1 league her numbers were 10.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
This summer Cohen was among the Israeli NT leaders, but her team failed to qualify for EuroBasket Women 2013. She was averaging 12.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Before playing for Schio, Cohen had played for the likes of Wisla Can-Pack, Besiktas and Kosice.
She’s set to arrive at Taranto on September 18.
