Connecticut Sun fought off a turnover prone effort to defeat the Washington Mystics. Mystics got a 7 point first quarter lead before squandering it in the second. Crystal Langhorne likely had her best game of the season with 23 points on 10 of 14 shooting and 9 rebounds, but she didn’t have the support which Tina Charles had. Charles herself recorded a double-double 20 points and 13 rebounds. Mistie Mims returned after missing two games with a minor injury with 15 points for the Sun. Kara Lawson had 16.
Minnesota Lynx led by Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore who scored 23 points each, managed to overcome a rather bad effort from themselves to defeat the LA Sparks who helped Minnesota out as the law of averaged caught up with Kristi Toliver. Jenna O’Hea scored 15 points in her best game since the return. Maya Moore recorded 7 steals for the Lynx. Candace Parker had 6 points and 6 rebounds in 23 minutes of action. Some league followers have suggested she’s playing with a bum knee, although there don’t appear to be any quotes to support such theory.
