Novi Zagreb sign Leilani Mitchell to replace Maurita Reid

Croatian club Novi Zagreb has announced the signing of New York Liberty point guard Leilani Mitchell for the upcoming season.

For Mitchell this will be only her second club in Europe after she had spent 4 previous seasons with Arras in France.

Mitchell will not get to play against her former team in the group phase as Novi Zagreb is in group C, while Arras is in group B.

Last season in EuroCup Women she averaged 6.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. In French league she averaged 9.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Currently in the WNBA with the New York Liberty she is having an above average season – 7.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Mitchell was signed after Jamaican guard Maurita Reid was unable to obtain Croatian visa.
