According to French newspaper Le Berry, French champions Bourges Basket have lost one of their most influential players Cathy Joens for about six weeks.
Such term would mean her return in November with her being absent in 6 French league games and 2 EuroLeague Women games.
Joens has suffered a stress fracture in her right foot.
The team is considering bringing in a medical replacement for her.
They are expecting Styliani Kaltsidou back in November until then having signed Zoi Dimitrakou.
Questionable for the French league opening day next Saturday are Endene Miyem and Romane Bernies.
