According to Belgian site basketfemenin.com and French La Voix du Nord, young Belgian star Emma Meesseman will not be playing anytime soon.
She fractured her scaphoid bone in her wrist during practice on Thursday.
Meesseman has to wear a cast for six weeks, while her total absence is expected to be around two months.
During the offseason Meesseman commited for two seasons with Villeneuve d’Ascq in order to finish her studies after which she is set to join Sparta&K Moscow Region Vidnoje.
The team is exploring an option to bring in a medical replacement.
