Ticha Penicheiro ends her career with a win in Chicago’s season finale

New York Liberty finished the regular on a high, avoiding getting swept by the Tulsa Shock. Plenette Pierson led the Liberty with 19 points. Temeka Johnson finished her season one game earlier than the rest of her team by earning her 7th technical foul which means an automatic one game suspension. Tulsa blew a 12 point first half lead.

Ticha Penicheiro played in her last WNBA game as Chicago Sky overcame a slow start to defeat the Washington Mystics. Sky shot 20% from the floor in the first half. It was a totally different story in the second half, where the Sky could barely miss, mainly due to scoring in transition. Courtney Vandersloot was the main threat in the second half in which she scored all of her 20 points. Penicheiro finished her career one assist shy of 2600 assists.
