Lubor Blazek remains in the Czech Republic head coaching post

Czech Basketball Federation has confirmed to iDNES.cz, that Lubor Blazek has re-signed to continue coaching the Czech NT.

If Czech Republic qualifies for 2014 World Championship in Turkey, his contract will be automatically extended for that tournament.

Under Blazek Czech Republic has won silver in 2010 World Championship, finished fourth in EuroBasket Women 2011 and lost to France in the Olympic quarterfinals.

Following last season with Czech champions USK Praha, Blazek stepped away from head coaching duties, though he still works in the club. Ivan Benes has taken over for him at USK.

Czech Republic have been drawn in Group D of EuroBasket Women alongside Croatia, Belarus and Lithuania.
