RBF call Russian women’s NT start in Olympics unsatisfactory, search for a new coach

Executive committee at the Russian Basketball Federation has accepted coach’s commission’s evaluation of Russian women National Team’s start in the 2012 Olympics as unsatisfactory.

Since the contract of Boris Sokolovsky ran out at the end of Olympics, the commission will look to make a list of potential candidates for the job. They have until November when the next meeting of executive committee is scheduled.

According to RBF general secretary Natalia Galkina, despite the unsatisfactory marks, Sokolovsky could still end up among the potential candidates.

Russia finished fourth in the Olympics behind USA, France and Australia.
