Croatian club Novi Zagreb has signed American point guard Courtney Vandersloot until the end of October to replace Leilani Mitchell who will join the team on November 1.
In her first pro season in Europe Vandersloot played for Besiktas in Turkey. There she averaged 16.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.6 turnovers per game in EuroCup Women and 13 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.1 turnovers in Turkish league.
All of her numbers, including turnovers, had increased in her second WNBA season, compared to the first. She averaged 8.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.2 turnovers per game.
Vandersloot will be with the team for five games – 3 in Croatian league and 2 in EuroLeague Women, against Galatasaray and UMMC Ekaterinburg.
