Alex Montgomery signs with Sport Recife in Brazil

According to the league site, Brazilian club Sport Recife has signed American forward Alex Montgomery for the upcoming season.

Montgomery last season played for Tarbes GB in France for half a season, averaging 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Playing in the WNBA her role has been minuscule for New York Liberty. She was averaging just 8 minutes per game, participating in 26 games this season. She averaged 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Montgomery will join the team on Wednesday.
