Prior to tonight’s game two of the WNBA Finals the league has announced both All-WNBA teams based upon the regular season.
Obvious candidates in Tina Charles and Tamika Catchings headline the first team which also includes Candace Parker, Cappie Pondexter and Seimone Augustus for whom this was the first time on the First All-WNBA team.
Second team includes Maya Moore, Sophia Young, Kristi Toliver, Lindsay Whalen and Sylvia Fowles.
As a surprise to some, Angel McCoughtry has not received any All-WNBA honors. Her being the perceived villain in the Marynel Meadors firing has likely swayed the voters to not mention the league’s regular season’s leading scorer.
