Minnesota found themselves down 12 points in the second quarter, before rallying at the end of the quarter to go in halftime down just 2 points. In the second half Fever got out to 6 point lead, but pretty soon found themselves trailing. At the start of the fourth quarter they were down 10 and were not able to cut in the deficit by the end of the game.
Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus combined for 50 of Minnesota’s 83 points.
Indiana’s guard rotation took another hit after Jeanette Pohlen sustained a knee injury. She will be re-evaluated when the team gets back to Indiana. With Pohlen injured Erin Phillips played all 40 minutes of the game. All five Fever starters played more than 35 minutes.
Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve put on a show in the third quarter, by going ballistic, throwing her jacket on the floor after receiving a technical foul, following a missed call on Lindsay Whalen. Not to be outdone, Lin Dunn got t’ed up at the start of the fourth. That did not fire up the Fever.
