American power forward/center Mistie Mims has joined Lyon and should be at the disposal of Laurent Buffard tonight against Villeneuve d’Ascq.
She has already given an interview to French newspaper Le Progress, talking about France.
Here are some of her quotes via Catch & Shoot:
“I love France! This is my favorite country in the world. The atmosphere, coffee, culture… and the warm bread, creamy goat cheese and Gewurztraminer and Riesling!
(…) France is the best country for me, for basketball and life. That is why I want to become a French citizen (…). In two years (she will request naturalization, Editor’s note), because I have to wait until I have lived for five years in France. Then, my dream is to play for the French National team at the Olympic Games in Rio. After that, I will be able to finish my career!”
Mims has been named the top foreign player in France, the last two seasons.
