Gesam Gas Lucca got their first win of the young season by defeating Priolo. Slovenian post player Marie Ruzickova netted 21 points in the W. Kelley Cain made her debut for Priolo with 14 points and 11 boards. Orvieto remained undefeated as they cruised past Pozzuoli. Aishah Sutherland had 16 of Orvieto’s points, Shamela Hampton added 15.

D’Andra Moss had 17 points in 16 minute of playing time as Acqua&Sapone Umbertide handed the first loss to defending champions Goldbet Taranto. Moss was in foul trouble. Nicole Antibe and Liron Cohen led Taranto with 16 and 15 points respectively. Sonja Kireta had 15 points and 9 rebounds, Gergana Slavcheva had 13 points and Jillian Harmon added 14 boards as Parma claimed their first win, defeating Club Atletico Romagna.

CUS Cagliari was the last team to open the season and they did that with style, routing CUS Chieti. Elin Eldebrink led all scorers with 21 points.
