Dandenong led throughout their game against Townsville, leading to their third win in four games, but they lost Canadian center Krista Phillips, who sustained, what appeared to be, a serious knee injury. Jenna O’Hea had 24 points for Dandenong, Kayla Standish led Townsville with 26 points. The next day Dandenong visited Bendigo where they took on the league leaders the Spirit. In the third quarter Dandenong held a 12 point lead, in the fourth their lead was as much as 7 points, but they failed to close out the game, allowing a 15-2 run for the Spirit. Chantella Perera, Kristi Harrower and Gabrielle Richards each had 18 points in the win, with Richards also pulling down 10 rebounds.
After a loss to Logan, Sydney still remained winless. Laurie Koehn made her debut for Logan with 24 points on 6 of 11 shooting behind the arc. Natalie Taylor added also 24 points and 9 rebounds, while Kristen Veal had 9 points and 10 assists. In the other game of the back-to-back Logan narrowly fell to Canberra Capitals, who are still without Lauren Jackson.
Elyse Penaluna had 18 points and 6 rebounds as the Bulleen Boomers handed Townsville their second loss of the weekend. Natalie Burton’s double-double wasn’t enough for West Coast Waves to claim a win at home against the Adelaide Lightning who now stand in the second place in the standings by themselves. Jo Hill led Adelaide with 14 points.
