Round-up: Round 6 in French LFB

Without Emma Messeman, Sandra Prsic and Emilie Duvivier, Villeneuve d’Ascq continue to struggle as they without much resistance fell to Basket Landes. Anais Le Gluher led Landes with 16 points, Valeriane Ayayi and Jennifer Humphrey each had 15. Lyon handed Bourges their second loss of the season in what Lyon’s Mistie Mims called was a war. Mims led all scorers with 16 points. Both teams could not combine for 90 points in this game.

Abbie Bishop had 22 points as Perpignan got their fourth win, defeating Aix-en-Provence. Another Australian, Marianna Tolo, led Aix with 17 points. Lattes Montpellier are in the sole possession of the first place in the standings after yet another win, this time against Charleville. Gaelle Skrela had 14 points, Geraldine Robert and Ana Lelas each had 12.

Tarbes lost their fifth game of the season, despite Angelica Robinson scoring 21 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. Carrem Gay led Toulouse with 18 points. Arras won just their second game of the season, defeating another struggling squad – Hainaut Basket. Johanne Gomis ahd 16 points in the win. Nantes Reze almost wasted a 16 point lead going in the fourth quarter but narrowly prevailed against Mondeville.
