Round-up: Round 3 in Italian A1

Famila Schio found themselves in a second close game in a span of five days. Only this time they were on the losing end as they suffered their first defeat of the season, losing to Parma. Jillian Harmon picked up a double-double 14 points and 11 rebounds for Parma, while Sonja Kireta had 14 points and 8 rebounds. With this loss Umbertide is the lone undefeated team remaining in Italian A1 league. They had a successful weekend with a win against Club Atletico Romagna. Despite trailing at halftime, Pozzuoli came out strong in the second half and came through for the win behind 30 points from Darxia Morris and 23 from Olga Maznichenko. Taranto rebounded from their last week’s loss to Umbertide with a rout against Orvieto. Gintare Petronyte was 8 from 10 from the field and perfect from the line for 21 points.
