In the second installment of Love Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, we honor Candice Dupree of Sparta&K MR Vidnoje for her very efficient performance against Bourges Basket.

Candice Dupree or Candy Duprey as some British commentators tend to call her, posted a very efficient game against Bourges, which she finished with 22 points on 10 of 13 shooting and 7 rebounds with almost all of them picked up when the game was still on the line. Dupree ended up very close in the expert voting (like on other sites, the expert panel consists of voices in ones head) with honorable mention Diana Taurasi, so her being close to the award last week was taken in consideration. Now let’s see if she can remain remotely as consistent as the team hits the road.

Honorable mentions:

Diana Taurasi – a near triple-double performance with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Nnemkadi Ogwmumike – spectacular in Polkowice’s road win at the hostile Salamanca with 22 points.

Anna Cruz – Cruz showed some improvement in her first game of the season with 7 of 11 shooting for 18 points, with 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals (and 3 turnovers).

Ivana Matovic – Just like Dupree had a very efficient game with 22 points on 10 of 13 shooting with 7 rebounds, but had 5 turnovers and a much weaker opponent.

PS. No one remembers losers so we don’t honor anyone who lost this week.

Maybe you should also make something like “best 5″ for every round beside this mvp and honorable mentions.
