Round-up: Round 5 in Chinese WCBA – Spectacular 60 Point Performance by Maya Moore, Liz Cambage has 41

Maya Moore put up an out of this world performance, scoring 60 points in Shanxi’s OT win at Yunnan. Moore was 10 of 24 from inside, 9 of 19 from outside, 13 of 17 from the line, she had 13 rebounds, 6 blocks, 5 steals. Lindsay Taylor and Cao Beidi each had 21 points for the losing squad. Australian phenom Liz Cambage wasn’t much less spectacular with 41 points in Zheijiang’s win against Bayi.

Jayne Appel led Henan with 23 points and 11 rebounds in a one point win against Guangdong. Despite previous reports, it appears that Tamika Catchings did not make her debut for Guangdong as Ashley Corral was still playing, recording 11 points. Heilongjiang handed Beijing their fourth loss of the season behind 23 points from Ji Yanyan. Sasha Goodlett had 14 points for the winners, Sophia Young led Beijing with 16 points.

Krystal Thomas had 20 points and 24 boards as Jiangsu earned their second win, defeating Shenyang. Miao Lijie led Shenyang with 26 points. Shanghai behind 25 point efforts from Camille Little and Shi Xiufeng handed Liaoning their first defeat of the season
