LWB’s EuroLeague Women Player of the Week: Tina Charles

Reigning WNBA MVP Tina Charles is LWB’s Player of the Week in EuroLeague Women. She helped the defending Polish champions Wisla Can-Pack Krakow to their first win of the season in ELW with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Also worthwhile mentioning that none of the Sparta&K’s post players scored in double digits for which she is largely responsible.

Honorable mentions:

Plenette Pierson – Good Angels forward had 26 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals as her team handed Famila Schio their first defeat.

Gabriela Marginean – Was Targoviste’s leading scorer in their win against UE Sopron with 26 points. She was 15 from 15 from the freethrow line. With 15 made FT’s in a single game she ranks 8th all time in ELW.

Anna Cruz – With 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals led Rivas Ecopolis to a win in Brno.

Lindsay Whalen – Played without substitutions in Galatasaray win against Perfumerias Avenida, scoring 22 points, having 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 turnovers, 2 steals.

Belinda Snell – Was 5 from 10 behind the arc, with a total of 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.

Sandrine Gruda – Led UMMC with 20 points (8/11 FG) and also had 6 rebounds.

    Tina Charles won cos referees stopped Yacoubou without matter. Please watch the game. Without Yacoubou on the ground for Charles was too easy. I would have liked to watch the game without referees mistakes. Anyways Charles is very very strong. Thank u for attention.

    they are not personally against Yacoubou ……..but anyway Spartak lost the game not because of Yacoubou

    I’m agree with u Van, I just put on my point of wiew. Yacoubou played 17 minutes, during this time Charles had only two points. I would have liked Yacu play 30.
