Perfumerias Avenida ink Monique Currie and Paola Ferrari

According to encancha.com, Perfumerias Avenida have found their replacement for Nicole Powell in forward Monique Currie while also brining in Paraguayan guard with Italian passport Paola Ferrari.

Currie played a couple of months with CSM Targoviste in Romania this season, averaging 13.3 points (36% FG) and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Ferrari, who played last season with Soller Bon Dia! had agreed to play for Girona this season before tearing her ACL in May. In Spanish league she averaged 17.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

The signings should officially be announced later today.

Paola Ferrari couldn´t play as italian in Euroleague Women (She is from Paraguay). But in Spanish League she is be able to play as italian and the three non-european (Lecoe, Paola and Monique) can play all in Liga Femenina.

  Interesting. I looked up only FIBA Americas championships and she hasn’t played there for Paraguay.
  
  Now that you mentioned, it appears she participated in South American Championship for Women. Have to double check what’s the status of that competition.
