ZVVZ USK Prague sign Latvian guard Elina Babkina until the end of the season

Defending Czech champions ZVVZ USK Prague have announced the signing of Latvian point guard Elina Babkina until the end of the season.

Babkina started the season with CSM Targoviste in Romania before the players and staff were notified of budget cuts in 2013 and were proposed smaller contracts.

Former Lotos Gdynia and Fenerbahce player, averaged 10.1 points, 3.9 assists and 3.4 turnovers per game in EuroLeague Women this season.

According to team’s manager she will join the squad on January 10 after the team arrives from an away game with UMMC Ekaterinburg.
