As was first reported by NTV Spor, Lindsay Whalen has left the country and has started the termination of contract with Galatasaray due to delayed salaries.
Whalen has gone with her husband on a vacation to France.
According to NTV Spor she has not received salary for the last two months.
As basketdergisi writes she issued a warning last Friday and left the team a week later. They also write that the Gala’s men’s team has similar issues with salaries delayed two months.
Whalen is the team’s leading scorer and assister in EuroLeague Women with 13.6 points and 4.4 assists per game. She’s also averaging 5.1 rebounds per game.
