Round-up: Round 19 in Australian WNBL

WNBL regular season concluded on Saturday as the four playoff bound teams met each other on the final regular season game day.

Suzy Batkovic scored final two of her game high 22 points in the final seconds of Adelaides game against Dandenong to give the visiting Adelaide squad the win. Batkovic also had 12 rebounds in the win. Jenna O’Hea led Dandenong with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Batkovic also scored 22 points in Adelaide’s win on Friday against Bulleen. Minnesota Lynx bound Rachel Jarry led Bulleen with 21 points.

Kelsey Griffin had 19 points and 11 rebounds as regular season champs Bendigo Spirit defeated Townsville Fire. Double-double also for Gabrielle Richards in the win. Jessica Foley was the only Townsville player to crack the double-digit mark. On Friday Townsville held Logan Thunder to 38 points as they cruised to an easy win. Jessica Adair led Townsville with 14 points.

West Coast Waves won just their fourth game of the season on a Antonia Edmondson shot in the final seconds of their game against Canberra Capitals. A day later they finished their 2012/13 campaign with a loss to Sydney.

Bendigo and Dandenong will face each other next Sunday for a place in the Grand Final, while Adelaide and Townsville will play each other on Saturday to determine who will play the loser of Bendigo/Dandenong clash for the other place in the GF.
